Wattle I Do

Wattle I Do, painting oil on canvas in floating Victorian Ash frame 64 x 64 cm.

Joining a group of paintings in the series ‘The Blue Of Distance’, recently exhibited with The Brick Lane Gallery in London, this work explores our Australian native flower, Wattle as she entwines herself with the blue of the Hawkesbury River and the distant hills. Inspired by walks in Kuringgai Chase National Park, Sydney Australia,

I paint ‘alla prima’ which means ‘at first attempt’ my paintings are usually completed within one session.
