View Over Balmoral, Sydney, commissioned brief was to paint a Summers Streeton vignette of Sydney for an Aussie away from home. Inspired by Arthur Streeton and painted in my own style this view from Georges heights looks south over Balmoral and beyond to further headlands. Painting knife oil on poly cotton, 15 x 30cm
I paint ‘alla prima’ which means ‘at first attempt’ my paintings are usually completed within one session.
