Evening time on the river and I feel even the trees bow as the sun dips.

‘Thank You For The Day’ is an upscale of my painting, ‘Evening Song’. Upscaling is challenging, the original (mini me) spontaneous and the upscale deliberate. Maintaining the ‘fresh’ stroke is harder than you might think and I had to kid myself that it’s no biggy in order to begin but I’m so glad I did!

I paint ‘alla prima’ which means ‘at first attempt’ my paintings are usually completed within one session but in this case – 3 days to paint.
