Lady Darley

Lady Darley, painting knife oil on canvas in floating Victorian Ash frame 64 x 64cm

Part of a series of works entitled ‘The Blue Of Distance’ recently exhibited with The Brick Lane Gallery in London, these works explore the concept of distance and the elusive nature of the colour blue. Inspired by the Blue Mountains National Park, NSW, Australia.

I paint ‘alla prima’ which means ‘at first attempt’ my paintings are usually completed within one session.
