Banksia Twist

Available with Grammar Art Show on-line shop

26 x 46cm stretched canvas with thickly applied palette knifed oil paint.

Bush walks through Kuringgai National Park, NSW. Captured in this painting is the energetic twisting and curling of Banksia branches. I enjoyed painting the contrast of organised chaos against calm milky blue hues and again more playing with tonal colours for distant hills across the Hawkesbury River.
